What may be a brilliant strategy in one time-frame can end up being panned by Google in another. That’s what happened with all those people who took such great care to stuff their meta tags with keywords. Now, they’re basically ignored. If that was their entire SEO strategy, it would have left them with a rapidly declining page rank and virtual anonymity in the search engine result pages. So, try to follow good, time-tested, rules of practice that can keep your site active and ranking near the top of the search engine pages.
These strategies may sound like common sense, and they are. You should try to keep up with changes as Google changes their algorithm so that you don’t end up being affected negatively by a change in their policies. But, using straightforward common sense can also help to keep you doing fine when others are scrambling to implement new strategies to make up for poorly thought out choices earlier. So, let’s review some ways to make the SEO in your articles and press releases have a timeless quality to them.
Choose Familiar Words
Don’t try to get too fancy or hog all the trendy words coming out for SEO keyword phrases. While they are great for a short time, they’ll eventually fall out of favor and so will your traffic. Try to stick to keyword phrases with familiar words in them that also have been checked for low competition, high CPC and search volume. You may not get everything you want from those criteria, but try to get whatever you can.
Choose Words That Follow The Goldilocks Rule
The keywords you want to focus on shouldn’t be too narrow or too broad in scope, just like your website niche. That’s to help you target the demographic in a way that generates the most traffic that you can from it.
Start Small
If you don’t have a whole lot of time to devote to SEO, don’t worry about it. What’s most important is to get a start on it. You can start with just developing a niche from SEO research or using it to add value to your advertising campaigns. Don’t feel like you have to go whole hog and flood every press release with tons of keywords. Don’t think you’re not doing it right if you don’t have time to join a social network or write for article directories. Do what you can and learn as you go.

People lie so easily these days. There are overt lies, such as how old we are, how much money we make and where we were last night. Then there are the covert lies — lies of omission. For instance, when an executive tells his wife he will be travelling abroad on business but neglects to add the fact he is also visiting his mistress.
Then there are lies of implication – we know, in saying one thing, there is a whole series of implications our listener is likely to make based on their character and previous experience. Of course these do not count as lies in court of law, but they are no less misleading than the other two categories.
An example that comes to mind was when my friend Chris referred to his friend Lex, saying, “That boy, I worry about him. I do my best but I don’t know…””

Don’t let anyone fool you, making money on the internet is exactly like making money in any form of business. Remember the Internet is just a way to do business. Just like the telephone or direct mail are ways of doing business. Contrary to popular belief, making money in any form of business is a process and not at all an easy task.
The task can become easy and fun in time, but it’s not going to start out that way. There are many things that you must learn in order to make money on the Internet, or anywhere else for that matter. It’s kind of like riding a bike. Did you jump on a bicycle the first time you ever saw one and ride off? No you had to fall down and keep trying in order to learn how to ride a bike. Making money on the internet, or anywhere else, uses the same principle.
The bottom line is that making money on the internet simply isn’t a simple and easy task, and anyone that tells you that this is the case has their best interest in mind, not yours. You can make money on the Internet, just realize that it takes time and effort, and it’s not going to happen overnight. The best weapon that you have at your disposal is educating yourself. Good luck and remember what Henry David Thoreau said, ” Do not hire a man who does your work for money, but him who does it for love of it.” Your internet venture should be done because you love it, not for the money.

Would you want this SEO working for you?
I just checked out an SEO here in San Diego seobythehour.com that is using adwords to get clicks to their website… check out the daily budget at the top between 1 and almost 10 grand a day….. if you knew how much they were spending on adwords themselves make you want to use their service?
I’m tempted to ring them up and ask if they would like SEO done on their own site… I’m beating them in organic searches everywhere and have never or would never waste my money on adwords as you know.

Google Maps Scam Spam phone call
Don’t be fooled,
Google never rings you even if you beg them too…..
Theres a new scam happening in at California at least, but probably will be happening everywhere soon.
The scam starts as a recorded phonecall, saying something like
Google is updating it’s google maps database… blah blah.
If you save your google maps listing, and don’t want it deleted by google, press #1
Theres something in the message that insinuates that this is google calling you…
If you do press 1 you get a highpowered sales person, who is actually nothing to do with google at all, and yet doesn’t actually say that…even when directly asked, they try to sell you better google maps listings for your business.
Don’t be fooled, Google never rings you even if you beg them too….. even if you pay them to ring you they won’t, and many times even the google maps verification phonecall doesn’t come.
So don’t get sucked into buying this service, it’s a scam. Google is not updating it’s google maps listings yet, even though they should IMHO.
I just happened to be at a clients office the other day when this scam spam phonecall arrived, and I was given the phone so I could speak to google…. I was so mad at the scam I hung up before I found out what the name of the company was, cause the highpowered sales person wouldn’t actually say who the company was….

1. Keywords. When we talk about SEO, we are basically talking about using keywords effectively. I’ve been working for several Chiropractors of late, doing seo for their sites, and have noticed a problem, which although on the surface is specific to Chiropractors, when you look at the problem generally it’s common to hundreds of different websites.
All Chiropractics that I have spoken to agree, they would like to specialize or at least work a lot more with car accident injury patients, whiplash responds extremely well to chiropractic treatment.
Yet even though they want to work with this type of patient, usually their websites or webpages are not at all optimize for whiplash. Usually whiplash will be mentioned along with a list of other services they offer, and only on about 1% of sites do chiropractors even have a page that is directly aimed at car accident victims. Of those 1% of website that actually have a page about whiplash, I’ve yet to see that that page is is actually optimized for search engines or the word whiplash, or car accident treatment or anything along these lines.
So the chances of a potential whiplash patient ever finding their website are fairly limited, and for the other 99% of Chiropractors that just mention they work with whiplash patients, alongside headaches and neck and back-pain, they will never be found in search engines. They are counting on visitors clicking on their services page.
You have to have a web-page that is about whiplash, and preferably 1 page for each whiplash symptom or issue in order to get visitors from search engines.
The general population is not even aware that chiropractic care is even an option for whiplash symptoms, so chiropractic’s need to educate the general public. To do this, they need pages on their website or blog, explaining the different whiplash symptoms, and how chiropractic can help. The more pages the better.
From my experience with other websites, a page will have to be read about 100 times in order to get one customer, so if a chiropractic has a list of say 10 types of treatments they offer, whiplash being one of them, the page will have to be viewed about 1000 times before they can hope to get one whiplash patient. So if a chiropractors website had 10 pages about whiplash and symptoms and treatment of whiplash, just by having correctly optimized pages, they would get more visitors, and therefore get more patients.
The Answer: Add several pages or blog posts about the different whiplash symptoms to a website or blog, optimize them correctly, and chiropractics will start receiving the patients they are wanting.
The next problem. Most Chiropractics I have spoken to are great Chiropractors, but aren’t good at writing, so where do all these pages about whiplash come from? Writing Search engine friendly content is not something just anyone can do.
Just copying information from elsewhere on the internet, besides being illegal won’t work. Also much of what is written online is meant for chiropractics to read and understand, not for general Joe Public…
A chiropractic would be better to get something written for them exclusively… however this will cost a fortune usually $250+ per article.

Is Honesty Actually The Best Policy When It Comes To Selling Something?
So is honesty the best policy when it comes to selling something, or can the truth be massaged to make your product or service seem better, when in fact the product is sub par? Is honesty the best policy when it comes to selling something? In my opinion, yes, honesty is the best policy when it comes to selling your product or service. In my experience many of the “technically true” statements simply mean that the product or service is less than high quality.
The bottom line is that many businesspeople in the world today just don’t seem to think being totally forthright about their product or service will be beneficial to them. Once again, in my experience, this simply isn’t the case. Being forthright and honest about your product or service tends to pay much longer term benefits to you as the salesperson.
It’s unfortunate that so many people and businesses feel the need to say anything in order to get the sale. In my opinion this approach hurts everyone involved. The bottom line is that some people will like your product and service and some won’t, that’s it. The weasels (that use statements such as the ones listed above) seem to have a different approach. They live by the motto that everyone is a sale, and although this is technically true, it’s just about as true as the “you’ll never make another cold call”, which of course isn’t really true at all. It’s just plain dishonest.
So rather than getting caught up in the semantics of this argument, let’s simply end the discussion by saying that honesty is the policy when it comes to sales, that is if you’re interested in sleeping well at night. I think Plato said it best when he said, “Honesty is for the most part less profitable than dishonesty”, which of course is the reason that a question such as the one posed in this article even exists. I still say that honesty is in fact the best policy when it comes to selling something, no matter what that something might be.

Panda Anti-Virus 2010 Big Problems
Downloaded Panda Anti-Virus 2010 Installed on one computer in the office running Vista (whatever the most expensive version is), of course the main computer, and since then theres been nothing put problems.
The computer tech is very savy, but even after assigning premissions in Panda Anti-Virus 2010 for email and browsers wouldn’t work, along with any other program we tried to open, even photoshop wouldn’t open… anything that had auto updates or any update settings… even though permissions had been reset.
after about 8 hours of fighting, finally did a system restore, which took 5 different trys before it would work, and although system restore said it worked, now Panda 2009 isn’t working either, files are missing all over the place, won’t even start, everything is grayed out.
So the main computer now has no internet access, while the tech tries to find the missing files, from system restore and is too worried to go online with protection. Of course since panda isn’t working, the tech can’t even update the version she has….
So much for making restore points before installing anything, this time it didn’t do any good at all.
Might pay to wait a while before installing Panda Anti-Virus 2010 theres obvious some issues with it and at least Vista.

Have you ever had this thought, or heard someone say such a thing? Because I want to be the first to tell you (if you already didn’t have an idea) that it’s not quite that simple. No not by a long shot. As a matter of fact, a statement like gat a website going and you’re good to go, is tantamount to saying “get yourself a couple of lottery tickets, and you’re good to go.”
Having a website is exactly like having any other business, although you do tend to run into a lot more nerds in the website world. Imagine That! But it’s true, having a website is just like having any other business, and it takes work to make successful. There are no quick fixes, although there are a lot of weasels out there that will try to convince you otherwise.
The bottom line is that it’s a complete fallacy that you can simply put a website on the internet and be good to go. If you don’t put some work into it all you have is a billboard among about fifty million other billboards. And if you have a billboard among fifty million other billboards, you’re chance of being seen are slim to none. So being good to go should be the furthest thing from your mind.
Getting a website going is the easiest part of the process. From that point on, the real work begins. This is a simple fact that you need to be aware of before you make the decision to start a website, because if it’s not understood, you’ll probably quit before you even have a chance. This is probably the biggest reason websites fail…..they quit before they even have a chance.
So perform your due diligence so that you’re aware of what you’re getting yourself into and learn some of the simple steps that can tip the odds into your favor. I just don’t want you to assume that it’s as simple as getting a website going and being good to go. Unfortunately it’s just not that simple.

I have seen many fishing ebooks out there being offered for thirty dollars or more, when if you go to any bookstore you can buy any fishing book on the shelf for well under this amount. Oh sure, you get the “perceived value” of five or ten bonus reports, and all kinds of supposed guarantees to make the offer seem better, but it seems to me that something is just “off” about this whole process.
Again, should an ebook cost more than a traditional book? Let’s think about this for a moment. With an e-book, you download it onto your computer. If you choose to print it out, you’re using your ink and paper. So why should it cost more than a traditional book? In my humble opinion, it shouldn’t. The information is no different, all that’s different is the hype. I’m sure this is true with all e-books, but I know it’s true for fishing e-books.
I’ve seen many fishing e-books being pimped out there and every one I’ve seen costs at least twenty dollars, and in some cases upwards of forty dollars! It seems to me that this is a complete rip off and an e-book, which puts all of the “labor” on the buyer of said e-book, shouldn’t cost more than ten bucks. In any case, that’s my opinion, and I could most certainly be wrong.
If you happen to be in the market for fishing ebooks keep an eye out for affordable alternatives to all the options out there, and be careful. There are a ton of less than scrupulous people and companies out there, which have no problem taking advantage of anyone they can. The bottom line is that an e-book shouldn’t cost any more money than a traditional book, no matter how many “free” gifts they include. Keep this in mind the next time you’re in the market for a fishing e-book.

Wow, world, I need a break. I’ve been so busy recently, I have almost 80 yes eighty or so blogs on about 5 different subjects among them Chiropractic themed sites, that I’m now managing, many are my own blogs here on blogger, but also I’m managing the blogs owned by my SEO clients.
Blogs are a great way to advertise your business, if done the correct way, can make your website more important in search engines.
Recently I have taken a new direction with SEO, and I’ve started working for Chiropractics, I have 2 chiro’s in the same office here in San Diego, one in Reno and one in Columbus Ohio and a couple thinking about using my services one in Sydney Australia and the other is Singapore.
Doing SEO for Chiropractics is really cool, firstly the chiropractics themselves, and really nice guys, (I only have guys so far) earthy grounded types, that are interested in your health as a whole, and while I don’t like saying holistic, is really the only word that describes them.
Doing SEO for a specific type of client has been a dream of mine for many years, and one that’s coming to fruition in San Diego, starting with the Chiropractic that got me painfree after too many years to count.
One of my San Diegian Chiros has a talent for writing, and I’m going to start selling original chiropractic articles, that the buyer could use on their website, or for article submission, for newsletters,on their blogs etc.

Making Awkward Keywords Sound Natural in Website Content
Punctuation and stop words can be used with the keyword phrases you choose to make the copy sound more natural and less search engine oriented. A stop word is a word that is ignored by the Google search engine when it is scanning the copy, so they don’t have any effect on the actual keyword phrase, even if they’re plopped right smack in the middle.

Stop words in Google are words like “and,” “the,” “for,” and “a.” There are actually many of these words you can use to help add a little sense to some nonsense sounding keyword phrases that you’ve found are highly profitable to target. To find a list, just Google; “Google stop words” and you’ll get a nice list of them.
Punctuation is also ignored by the Google search engine when scanning the copy for keywords. Even capital letters are ignored. So, if you have a keyword that can end one sentence with a period and start another sentence with a capital, Google will read it as a connected keyword phrase. This type of tip is very useful for the regional keywords that might be something like, “New York Publishing Arts” or something odd. In that case, if you kept repeating this phrase, it wouldn’t be hard for a reader to tell that you’re trying to feed the search engines the same keyword phrase, and it also sounds very repetitive to the reader.
To keep that from happening, you can use stop words or punctuation. So, the keyword phrase might end up looking something like this in copy:
“The publishing world centers around New York. Publishing arts have grown and matured due to the number of quality writers attracted to this great city.”
Or, if you are using stop words:
“Go to New York for publishing arts exposure. You won’t regret it!”

I used to think this is how it worked. I thought if you had a professional looking website, with products I thought would sell, I would receive orders. Then I realized that nothing could be further from the truth. Why I would have thought that the internet was any different from any other business, I’m not sure, but that’s obviously what I thought. It may have something to do with all of the crap floating around about people becoming “overnight successes” on the internet. It seems like everywhere a person turns, there’s another story in the media about someone making it big on the internet. In any case I fell into the trap of expecting the impossible. Namely, expecting to have a successful website without much effort.
Then after about six months of spinning my wheels, expecting the impossible, I realized a lot more effort was going to have to be put forth. I realized E-commerce was a process. I had to convince people to buy my products, just as is done in any other business. It wasn’t enough just to have a page with a product on it, you have to convince the public that they need it.
While learning to make money online, I also realized that many of the people that you talk to, want to make money off of you, and don’t truly have the best interests of your website in mind. For example, for months and months our webmaster was pushing a certain product on us to create newsletters. It seemed like a great product, but we had no one to send a newsletter to. Did he have any suggestions for getting subscribers? No, he just wanted us to buy the product. He wanted us to buy the product, because he got a piece of the action. He didn’t care whether or not we actually needed it. This kind of thing seems to happen a lot on the internet. I suppose to be truthful, it happens everywhere, not just the internet.
The biggest thing to remember is that making money online is a process and doesn’t happen overnight. If you want to make money online, the best thing you can do is start educating yourself. The more educated you can become about the process, the better. You didn’t learn how to do long division all at once, right. You learned through a process and making money online is no different.

All of this garbage comes from people trying to sell you their e-book. Writing the e-book is only a small piece of the puzzle. The weasels want it to seem as if writing the e-book is most of the work. Let me ask you a question, if this were true, why wouldn’t everyone write and sell e-books?
What everyone seems to fail to talk about is how you are going to get traffic to this wonderful website promoting your e-book. This is the work my friends, because without traffic, you might as well not have a website! Someone said to me once, “I’m just going to buy a list of names, email them, and a percentage will buy.” Again, if it were as simple as buying a list, then emailing that list and making money, why in God’s name wouldn’t everyone do it?
The truth is that it doesn’t work this way. If you truly want to make money with an e-book (or anything else for that matter) you have to work at it. There are no magic formulas out there. The only magic formula is to work at it and bring value to the marketplace. If you’re getting into the e-book game just to “make money” you’re going to have real problems.
The bottom line is that you’re going to have to put whatever your offering in front of potential customers and then convince them that they need your product. The truth is that putting that offer in front of potential customers is the work, and there is nothing that simple or easy about that. Selling e-books (as well as anything else on the internet) takes work my friends, there’s simply no way around this 800 pound gorilla that no one wants to talk about.

Not to be mistaken for new page indexing that Google now offers 24 hour on demand page indexing for existing sites that have deployed Google Site Search on their sites. However “On Demand Indexing” now offered by Google can be useful if you decide to get serious about your hot trends business and run a Word Press Blog on your own domain. More on that later.
Site indexing is just that. Getting your new web site or blog’s domain name (URL), indexed into it’s search engine database. There is no hope of attaining any search engine position, low or high, without Google first doing what is called spidering the Internet with “Bots” that go out and search for new sites and new information on existing sites. However I have seen the methods listed below get a brand new blog indexed in less that 24 hours. That is livable in the fast paced world of hot trends marketing. I will occasionally not mess with the following processes if I found a hot trend that is pretty iffy. I won’t take time spending time on something that is a long shot. Why do I take iffy long shots? Because I can afford the time or am between other projects when I do. And it’s kind of a kick when I do go for a long shot and it pays off.
With that in mind, it is still worth employing a couple of tricks I’ve learned along the way. These action steps will only take you a few minutes once you have the process down.

Do You Need Traffic To Your Website? Then Go Get It
If you’ve had a website for any period of time, you’ve realized that traffic doesn’t magically appear. When I started on the Internet I think this is what I thought. I must of thought that the Internet was like the movie Field Of Dreams, and if you built a website, the traffic would come. I quickly found out that this wasn’t at all the case, and actually not even close to the case.
As a matter of fact I found out that you don’t magically get any traffic. You have to go out and get traffic. What do I mean by go out and get traffic? You have to write articles, and do book reviews, and go to forums, basically anything where you can get your website “out there” via a resource box. You simply can’t expect the traffic to magically appear, because it doesn’t.
You also need to optimize your site for the search engines. This should be done while you build it, or you will simply have to redo the stuff that needs done. I’ll let you research the SEO process yourself, because once you open that can of worms, you’re going to have worms freakin’ everywhere! Just don’t fall into the trap of thinking you can pay someone 50 bucks a month and be dome with SEO. This is not true.
The bottom line is that if you don’t have a big budget to spend on advertising and employee’s you need to get creative and go out and get traffic for your website, and if you’re reading this article I would have to assume the big budget and team of employee’s isn’t a viable option. So stop reading this article and start writing some, because writing articles is a good way to drive traffic.

So you’re interested in making money online. I’m assuming that because you’re reading an article with this title. The biggest obstacle to making money online is navigating through all of the crap floating around the making money online toilet. And let me tell you something, there’s a lot of crap. My first piece of advice is to stop kidding yourself into the fact that it’s simple and easy to make money online.
Before I go any further, let me make it abundantly clear that I have no vested interest in you making money online. I’m not selling any e-book or trying to recruit you into a program. My website has nothing to do with any of those things, it has to do with fishing. I simply want to tell you some of what I’ve learned with the hopes that it may save you some time and money. I realize how incredibly frustrating figuring this “online” thing out can be, so I just wanted to offer my take.
The first thing, as I eluded to before, is that you need to stop kidding yourself into thinking making money online is simple, easy, or quick. Many people, myself included, fall into the trap of thinking that money can be made hand over fist simply because there’s a website involved. This is simply not true. Making money online is exactly like making money anywhere else. Many people who want to sell you a “business opportunity” will lie about this fact and make it seem as if making money online is somehow different. Making money online is in no way different than making money in any other business, and surely not because it has the word ‘online’ attached to it. If you have the intention of making money online you need to educate yourself about the internet before you begin. These ‘weasels’ that I’m speaking of prey on people who aren’t aware of some of the simplest things. I’m not saying that you have to become a tech dork, just educate yourself a bit as to how the Internet works. Look into things such as: affiliate marketing, driving traffic, SEO (search engine optimization), and article writing. Especially the subject of traffic. You need to have a plan in place as to how you’re going to get people to your website. Don’t do what I did, and jump in to the swimming pool known as the Internet with no real Internet experience or self education. You might almost drown while trying to get a lot of it figured out.
My last piece of advice is to not think that you can solve this puzzle quickly. As I’ve said making money online is exactly like making money elsewhere, and making money almost never happens overnight. Again, this is where the ‘weasels’ do their best to convince you otherwise. They will make it seem as if making money with their “system” is easier than taking a breath! Remember what your Mom told you, if it sounds to good to be true, it IS. If you want to really make money online make sure that your passionate about the subject as well. You see, if your passionate about the subject, you won’t care about money, and then the money will follow. It’s when we do things simply for the promise of money that we get in trouble.
