Getting Your Site Indexed

Not to be mistaken for new page indexing that Google now offers 24 hour on demand page indexing for existing sites that have deployed Google Site Search on their sites. However “On Demand Indexing” now offered by Google can be useful if you decide to get serious about your hot trends business and run a Word Press Blog on your own domain. More on that later.
Site indexing is just that. Getting your new web site or blog’s domain name (URL), indexed into it’s search engine database. There is no hope of attaining any search engine position, low or high, without Google first doing what is called spidering the Internet with “Bots” that go out and search for new sites and new information on existing sites. These bots are generated from the numerous data centers Google has around the world. When they spider for indexing is a closely held secret. It is not on any regular schedule.
I can remember before Google was even in existence and it taking weeks to sometimes months to get a site indexed in what was the hot search engines and directories of the day. Old systems like Netscapes search engine, Web Crawler, Magellan, Excite, and others have been folded into the biggies we know today. A Few like MSN and Yahoo are a couple that have stood the test of time and the onslaught of Google. One relatively new one “Ask.com” (Used to be “Ask Jeeves), is the only newcomer in years to grow and remain a semi major player. So when I hear people complain about it taking a week to get their new site indexed on Google, I have to laugh just a little. They don’t know how good they have it.
Getting your site indexed quickly in the search engines is still not an exact science. At least not in the time frames we need to get them indexed in. so we’re not going to rely on them being indexed and certainly not getting 1st page search engine results. Be proactive and getting our own traffic is the key.
However I have seen the methods listed below get a brand new blog indexed in less that 24 hours. That is livable in the fast paced world of hot trends marketing. I will occasionally not mess with the following processes if I found a hot trend that is pretty iffy. I won’t take time spending time on something that is a long shot. Why do I take iffy long shots? Because I can afford the time or am between other projects when I do. And it’s kind of a kick when I do go for a long shot and it pays off.
With that in mind, it is still worth employing a couple of tricks I’ve learned along the way. These action steps will only take you a few minutes once you have the process down.

To Be Successful You Must Make Calls Everyday By Trevor Kugler

To Be Successful You Must Make Calls Everyday
By Trevor Kugler

One of the hardest things for new salespeople to grasp is the fact that calls have to be made everyday, even when it seems as if they don’t matter. It’s Murphy’s Law or something, but when a person is just starting out, it’s tough to drum up any real interest in anything. Not to mention interest in whatever product or service you are trying to distribute.
The “pot of gold” at the end of the sales call rainbow only appears if calls are made everyday. A critical mass must be reached, and the only way to reach a critical mass is to make those calls everyday. Those calls can be phone calls or actual interactions in front of prospects; the point is that it must be done everyday. I’m sure you’ve heard the analogy, but much like a snowball, this is how the critical mass starts.
Does this make it any less frustrating when you are being told NO, over and over again, and not making any money? It sure doesn’t, but it also doesn’t make it any less true. If you’re a salesperson (and who among us isn’t) prospects are going to tell you NO a lot. That’s just the nature of the game. This is another reason that calls must be made everyday. The more no’s you hear, the closer you are to that YES.
This is all simple sales jargon, but again, it’s true. The bottom line is that calls must be made every single day if you want to accomplish anything. If you’re making calls here and there, you’re not going to get anywhere and you’ll feel like your spinning your wheels. Focus becomes a key. If staying focused isn’t your strongest attribute, I would suggest getting to work on that as well. There are thousands of books and CD’s on the subject, so get in there. Just make sure that while you’re learning how to stay focused, you also make calls everyday, because that’s where the business comes from.
It’s helpful to remember what James Cash Penney said, “Salesmanship is limitless. Our very living is selling. We are all salespeople.” And never forget to make calls everyday!

Optimizing the Search Engine in 3 Ways

It is a well known fact that the survival of the website depends primarily on how the search engine sees its usability and functionality based on not only one but many gauging factors. One of the most talked about factors is the traffic that the site is capable of driving onto itself. The traffic is the frequency of visits that the site is able to capture from the millions of net users who access the net. When your site is able to catch a huge portion of these visits, then the traffic goes to your site. Search engine then sees the functionality and usability of your site to potentially a lot of net users – thus achieving search engine optimization. Below are some of the various ways on how you can better achieve search engine optimization or SEO:
a. Search engine optimization is driven by a factor called keyword content. This means that in order to achieve better search engine optimization, you need to make sure that you get to place necessary, meaningful relevant and functional, keywords on your website content. However, it is not suggested that you overly place these keywords on your web content that it will rather look like more of a keyword-based content. You still need to regulate the density of keywords on your articles to make it not only search engine friendly but online user friendly as well.
b. Search engine is driven by a factor called website content. The content is not basically being monitored by the search engine. The search engine does not have the capacity to read and analyze what you are writing on your website. The content becomes a big factor to SEO because the search engine knows that the primary reason why a net user would visit your site is because there is essential information that he or she was able to see on your website. Considerably, this becomes then the indicator of the search engine to brand your website to have good content.

Website Traffic The Truth

Website Traffic – The Truth
By Trevor Kugler

When you start a website, many people don’t realize how important traffic is to get. Not only is traffic difficult to get, if you can’t get it, there’s no point in having a website. Many times this isn’t realized. I think many people labor under the delusion of, “If you build it, they will come.”, meaning of course that if you build a cool looking website, with relevant content and products, that people will automatically visit your site and like it. My friends, in case you didn’t realize it, this is NOT true. A website can just be out in cyberspace forever and no one will ever know it’s there if you don’t literally go out and get traffic.
I know when I first started a website, I though that traffic would just come…the ‘if you build it’ philosophy. I quickly found out this was not the case. And unless you have a big budget for advertising, that means you’re going to have to spend a lot of time writing articles and such. Otherwise, you might as well not have a website. Because without traffic, a website means less than a fart in the wind, and in case you didn’t know a fart in the wind isn’t worth a whole lot.
So now you’re left with this cool looking website that’s all ready to go and parked out in the parking lot known as “cyberspace”. What do you do, to make your car stand out from all the others, so people will take a look at it? The best way I’ve found to accomplish this is through writing articles. It’s the only effective way that I’ve found to drive traffic to your website that’s truly FREE. Everything other method that I’ve seen (that doesn’t cost money) to drive traffic to your website is complete BS! Article writing is real and works.
So you begin writing articles and finally getting some traffic to your website, good for you. Now have you heard of something called “conversion”. Oh yea, if you thought that getting traffic was a veritable open can of worms with worms EVERYWHERE, just wait until you begin studying turning that traffic into real money. Fun, fun. Hey! Who thought that making a living on the internet was a piece of cake? Oh yea, that was me about 3 years ago, then as with most things, I realized the truth.

The Truth about Website Traffic

We’re ALL In The Customer Business

We’re ALL In The Customer Business

Has anyone ever asked you what kind of business you’re in? Of course they have and it doesn’t matter what your answer is. You could be in the insurance, automobile, restaurant, Internet, investment, network marketing, writing, publishing, etc. The type of business makes very little difference, because we’re all in the customer business. If we don’t attract and subsequently keep customers there is no business.
Many people think McDonald’s is in the hamburger business. Or that Domino’s is in the pizza business. How about Gateway being in the computer business? Nope, all of these companies are in the business of attracting and then keeping customers. The product is of little importance without customers.
This is a very important key to remember in any business, because without customers business as we know it would cease to exist. Let’s not forget what W. Edwards Deming said, “Profit in business comes from repeat customers, customers that boast about your project or service, and that bring friends with them.” So there you go, without customers there is no business.
We would all be better off spending our time focusing on both obtaining and retaining customers, because that’s the key to business as we know it. You’ve no doubt heard the old saying that ‘the customer is king‘. Keep that saying in mind as you move forward on your quest to attract keep the most important part of your business…the customer. And never forget that whatever business you say your in, in reality your in the customer business.

Who Wants To Be An Entrepreneur Anyway? By Trevor Kugler

Who Wants To Be An Entrepreneur Anyway?
By Trevor Kugler

The dictionary described an entrepreneur as: One who creates a product on his own account; whoever undertakes on his own account an industrial enterprise in which workmen are employed. So, after reading the definition, and being one for most of my life, I have to pose the question that this article is titled. As I said, I’ve been an entrepreneur for my entire life and know from experience that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
I’ve often wondered why I have this flame burning in me that simply refuses to go out. I used to try to put the fire out by drinking, but that didn’t work, so I quit drinking. I have tried getting jobs on various occasions and having a boss is just too much for me. The fire always seems to win and just can’t be tamed. I simply like the idea of bringing my product, or someone else’s product to the marketplace and getting paid for doing it. That and the idea of not having a boss.
Not having a boss is probably the biggest factor in all of this. Something about that fire burning deep inside of me tells me that having someone tell me what to do and not do is no good. In the past I’ve gotten jobs and was the model employee, but in the back of my mind, I never liked it. All because I was born with the entrepreneurial fire deep within me that I can’t put out.
So I’m left to continue trying, but from time to time I can’t help realize that it would sure be easier to just get a job and be done with it. I’ll never forget what Ted Turner said about the subject, “My son is now an “entrepreneur.” That’s what you’re called when you don’t have a job.” That quote really hits the nail on the head.
So the next time that you think you want to be an entrepreneur and change the world, you may want to think again. Just getting a job would sure be a lot easier. Unfortunately if you’ve got the same fire burning in you that I’ve got burning in me, you’ve got no choice. Your going top have to just get out there and change the world.

Do you Want To Be An Entrepreneur?

Why Web Traffic Is Everything

Why Web Traffic Is Everything

Many people, especially when they’re just beginning in the website game fail to take into consideration the importance of traffic. I know for me, I had some delusion of grandeur that like the movie Field Of Dreams, “if you build it, they will come”. I quickly found out that this wasn’t the case. As a matter of fact it was the furthest thing from the truth. The truth is that thousands of websites are being created every single day and put on the World Wide Web. Your website is just one of those thousands and thousands, all stacked on top of each other. Unless you figure out a way to generate traffic to your website, it’s literally just sitting there adding no value to anything.
The first thing that comes to peoples mind, at least the first thing that came to my mind when I first started was search engines. Search engines are by far the most popular way for strangers interested in what your website is about to find your website. There’s no doubt about that. The problem is that you need to be really careful who you listen to about search engines and getting listed on search engines, because it seems like everyone and their brother is a freakin’ expert on the subject. And when you start tiptoeing through this minefield, you quickly find out that they all want your money!
When we first started our webmaster told us that for a mere $50 bucks a month he could have our site ’submitted’ to all of the search engines and before long we would rank well for our chosen keywords. This all sounded great to us so we went ahead and did it, only to realize that it didn’t freakin’ matter art all. Just having your site ’submitted’ is only a small piece of a very large puzzle. But did our webmaster explain any of this in order to help us out? Nope. He was only interested in our $50 bucks a month. So I made myself an expert on the subject of search engines and quickly realized that he was more or less stealing our money from us.
My point is that many times webmasters know a lot about creating a website (which ours does), but nothing about actually making that website worth anything to anyone. My main point is that none of this matters without traffic. So how do you go about getting people to your site without an advertising budget worth thousands of dollars? Without giving all of the same tired answers like message boards and banner exchanges the best way to get traffic to your site for free is to begin writing articles about your subject of expertise.
The key here is not to write 1 or 2 articles. You have to write a lot of articles and give them some time to do their work. You see, at the bottom of every article you write, there is a resource box with all of your author information and links to your website. Writing articles is like planting seeds. If you’re constantly digging up the seed to see if it’s starting to grow, it won’t grow. And if you plant just 1 or 2 seeds, what are the chances of those plants growing to be healthy plants? But what if you plant 5000 seeds? Are you following me? The bottom line to all of this is that without traffic, having a website means very little and the best and most inexpensive way to generate that traffic is through the writing of articles.

SEO Is Not Really That Complicated | Small Business Marketing Blog from Duct Tape Marketing

SEO Is Not Really That Complicated | Small Business Marketing Blog from Duct Tape Marketing: “general SEO isn’t difficult just very time consuming, if you don’t know what you are doing, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there about it. But then you are talking to intelligent people, not the average business owner, how is interested in their business, and not so much in the internet.

As an example I recently ‘Met’ emailed someone that owns a website business, nice site, he has also taken up writing articles, and submitting the articles to a popular article bank as an SEO technique to get links to his business website.

He has written over 1200 very good articles, ideal for use on blogs and in newsletters etc. he’s done that part right, He’s been doing this for over 2 years.

However looking at his google analytics the only change to visitors to his site, come from the link in his bio at the article site, about 100 visitors a month, and of those visitors, the bounce rate is just over 94%.

However visitors coming from search engines have stayed about the same over the past 5 years. Sure there’s some natural increase, but nothing noticeable. Not considering the time this guy has put in, writing his articles on the same topic as his business website.

A few simple tips, and his website could be receiving hundreds more visitors each month. he would have been getting many thousand visitors a month now, if he had of known what he was doing when he first started writing articles.

5 Swift Steps to Generate More Money Through Search Engine Optimization

Want to know the quick steps to search engine optimization? Understanding the online world may be quite difficult for a beginner but the truth is, it is very easy to start with. If you already have a business online, you must focus on how to rank high in search engines. With the so many other businesses out there, you should know the secrets on how to jump start your way and get SEO fast! All you need is a computer and an internet connection.
1. Target the most popular search engine sites and submit to them while you can. The most widely known sites are Yahoo, Google and MSN. Get a domain name for your site and start advertising and increasing your traffic.
2. Make sure you have an appealing site. Anyone would bother looking or reading a content which has a boring and very static page, right? The web page should include pictures, videos or backgrounds which truly add color to your page. Just make sure that it is proportioned enough.
3. Remember to keep everything in moderation. In this way, people will notice your page and view it as simple yet elegant-looking. Once you get a nice web page it is time that you focus on the article’s content. It does not matter how long it will be.
4. The titles should contain the primary keywords and the secondary keywords can be mentioned in the later part of the article. Advertising play a very great role in determining the success of your company.
5. Try to know what the customers need and what your competitors lack. Make them feel present by immediately responding to their queries and other useful information. You can also buy little advertisement spaces in order to have a greater possibility. You can create a blog or if not, you can resort to press release writing.

Without Traffic Having A Website Means Nothing

Without Traffic Having A Website Means Nothing

This might sound like a completely obvious statement, but it’s a fact that I didn’t fully understand when my company started it’s website. I think I figured that somehow, just by having a great looking website, interest would follow. Let me clue you in on some of what I’ve learned…..it doesn’t. Traffic doesn’t just happen. You have to literally go out and get it. I’ve also came to the stunning realization that without traffic, you might as well not have a website. The exception to this rule is if you have a strictly informational website with no intention of making any money. In the case of a purely informational website, traffic actually does mean nothing. I’m of course referring to a website that has the intention at turning a profit.
If you have any intention of turning a profit everything begins and ends with traffic. You must have a lot of people visiting your website in order to make any money. There are various ways of bringing traffic to your website and most of them cost money. I’m not telling you this to discourage you, just to make you aware. You must have traffic and getting traffic in most cases costs money.
Being at the top of search engine results would be a great way to get traffic, right? There is no question that being in the top results of search engine phrases will bring traffic. The thing that you need to be aware of is that it isn’t easy or cheap to get in the top search results. Not by a long shot. It takes time, money, and work to get your website to the top of search engine results. It’s as simple as that.
The important thing to remember is that you have to get traffic to your site. So start educating yourself as to how you’re going to get traffic, because it doesn’t just magically appear. As I said before, in many cases you have to go out and get it. Just keep in mind that what your grandmother said is true……there are no easy fixes in life. And the subject of traffic is no different than anything else…..there are no easy fixes.

You Too Can make Money By Writing An E-book!

You Too Can make Money By Writing An E-book!

How about this claim, Huh? Believe me my friends; writing an e-book isn’t the issue. Anyone and their brother can write a freakin’ e-book. The issue is how you make money from the e-book once it’s written. All of the weasels out there claiming how you can make a ton of money writing e-books leave this little tidbit of information out of the equation, and do you know why? Because they want your money
There are a ton of weasels out there that want to sell you their e-book on how to make money selling e-books, and from what I can tell it’s all a vicious circle. A circle filled with outlandish claims and pissed off people. Because nothing that I’ve ever seen actually enlightens the reader as to how to actually find customers to buy your e-book. They simply make claim after claim, while showing big number after big number until you’re so jacked up that you purchase it.
But is this actually any way to make a living? Basically by lying to people. The make claims like how they send their offer to their list and get orders that way. The problem is that when you’re starting out, you have no list. Another that I read one time was that you start a blog reviewing the book you’ve written in order to get sales. If you’re a rookie to the Internet this sounds good, the problem is reality. Just because you start a blog, it doesn’t mean that people will read it! Just as when you write an e-book, it really doesn’t matter if no one BUYS it.
The deal is that you can make money by writing an e-book and selling, but you better have a plan as to how you are going to get people to buy it. The bottom line is that you don’t get anything for writing it. You only get something on the back end when someone actually buys it. So just be careful of all the hype out there surrounding e-books and there is a ton of it. Remember, in 97% of the cases, these hype masters are weasels just trying to get your $35 bucks for their e-book!

SEO & Website Design San Diego: November 2009: “Investing In Women has awarded a $500 “stimulus package” to a woman owned business, The Underground Railroad To Success. The URS was started by Tanisha Cunningham to teach independence to foster children. This grant will give the non-profit a chance to market their business.

- Investing In Women has awarded their first grant to a woman owned business in the USA. The recipient of the award is Tanisha Cunningham, founder of The Underground Railroad to Success (www.railroad2success.com). The URS is a non-profit that provides a service to foster children aging out of the system to live independently as adults while becoming an integral part of society. This is great for foster children and also has a positive affect on our society as a whole.

“Aging out” is the term used for children who go into foster care, but are never returned to their families of origin or adopted by others. They stay in the system until they turn 18, or graduate from high school, and for the most part, are left to fend for themselves as best they can.

Tanisha Cunningham started URS in January of 2009. A child of foster care herself, she saw the need for foster kids to have additional support when they were no longer eligible for state run services. Soon after her foster care ended, she began a career in child welfare

“I wanted to stay there because my passion had always been to give back, because I knew the struggles of living in foster care, and the fear of leaving unprepared, not having a place to go or having the skills to obtain a job.”

Investing In Women (www.iiWomen.com) is a free business resource site, grant program and marketing venue for entrepreneurs. The organization plans to offer several micro grants in 2010, including grants that are not awarded based on gender.

The Simple Truth About Making Money Online By Trevor Kugler

The Simple Truth About Making Money Online
By Trevor Kugler

In my experience there is a ton of misinformation floating around about making money online. It seems as if everyone has the next big idea about making money online. The problem is that most of these ideas revolve around you giving someone a bunch of money, and them giving you the ’secret’. As a person who makes some money online, let me clue you in. There is no secret. Making money online is just like making money anywhere else.
You see, making money is a process. Much like learning to ride a bike is a process. Did you wake up one day and start riding a bike? Of course not! To begin with you had training wheels. Then you practiced and practiced. Then you tried riding without training wheels and fell down again and again. And then one day, you rode off and you knew how to ride a bike. Riding a bike was a process and making money is exactly the same.
It makes no difference if the money is made online or offline, the bottom line is that you want a business that makes money. For this article though, we’re focusing on the truth about making money online. And the truth is (as mentioned earlier) that making money online is just like making money offline. It’s just that the process is a little different.
People run into trouble when they start buying into all the hype out there about making money online. If you believe the hype you won’t make money, because hype causes you to do things that you normally wouldn’t. Then the next thing you know you’re out a bunch of money and no better off. All because you bought into a bunch of hype like: Never make another cold call, or we’ll do the selling for you, or pick out your favorite ’style’ of site, etc. etc. None of this hype will get you any closer to making money online.
The truth is that if you aren’t passionate about what you’re doing, you have no chance of making money either online or otherwise. If you want to make money online, there is most likely going to be a website involved. You better believe in this website and be passionate about the subject that the site is based on. If your online money making venture revolves around your passion, you’ve got a good shot of making money online. Just keep in mind that’s making money online is a process and won’t happen overnight. Just like with learning to ride a bike, you need to keep practicing and getting back up when you fall down. If you do, you’ll be making money online sooner rather than later.

The Simple Truth About Making Money Online

3 Top Ways to Make More Profit With SEO

A lot has been said about SEO, but these things remain true: It’s one of the best traffic-generating tools that you cannot afford to ignore and it’s the best way to go if you’d like to get higher ranking on major search engines. If you know the ins and outs of SEO, there is no doubt that you can drive quality traffic to your site, and we all know that this traffic can easily be converted to cash. Here are the top 3 ways to make more profit with SEO:
1. White hat techniques. There are several SEO techniques that webmasters are using in order to improve their page ranking. However, not all of them are legal based on search engines’ guidelines. To make profit with SEO, always stick with those which are legal and acceptable, otherwise, you might be penalized by major search engines.
2. Content. Keep your content fresh, engaging, useful, and interesting. This will be the main reason why online users will visit your site.
3. Keywords/keyphrases. Make your content not only user friendly but also search engine friendly too. Sprinkle generous amount of relevant keywords to each page of your site so they will be all indexed by major search engines. Pay attention to appropriate keyword density too. Make sure that your keywords don’t sound odd or like they were just put on to your content just to attract search engines. They must sound natural at all times.
Optimizing your website can be very easy if you know the best SEO techniques that work best for your site. To get high page ranking, you can also submit your site to major search engines. That and those 3 mentioned steps can pull up your ranking in no time.

The Top Ten Things No One Told You About Having Your Own Website

The Top 10 Things No One Told You About Having Your Own Website
Like many things on this earth, having a website sounds great on paper, but what you don’t consider are some of the most important aspects of having the site. These are my top ten in no particular order.
1) Having a website means absolutely nothing without traffic. That is without visitors. Without visitors a website is like a piece of paper you jotted a note on and forgot about. What’s that piece of paper worth to you?
2) Getting traffic is not an easy thing to do. Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s easy or quick to get traffic. Unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money, getting traffic quickly is not going to happen.
3) Once you start to get a little traffic, expect to get inundated with unwanted emails like you were some porn addict putting your email address into any box that pops up on the screen in the hopes of getting a quick ‘peek’.
4) If you pay someone else to do your site, and you need changes it’s going to cost you a lot of money. (And by the way, you will want to make changes).
5) Making money on the internet is not easy! It can be simple, but not easy. I’ve seen a lot of crap out there that makes it seem as if making money on the internet is as easy as brushing your teeth, but this is not the case.
6) To have a decent site, it’s going to get changed more than a teenager with a two hundred and fifty dollar gift certificate to the Gap, especially in the beginning.
7) Everyone says that you MUST have a newsletter. But without significant traffic, it doesn’t matter, because no one will sign up for it any way. You can of course buy a list of names to email your precious newsletter to, but this will cost you a decent amount of money, just like everything else.
8) Search engine Optimization is not everything everyone makes it out to be. Many times it’s made out to be the be all and end all. But you must pay attention to where all the hype is coming from. Normally it’s coming from someone trying to sell you SEO services. Just paying someone fifty bucks a month for these services is not going to bring you five hundred dollars worth of business a month.
9) Very few people mention article writing as a means of promoting your website, but it’s a good one. And in most cases it’s free. That’s probably why it’s not mentioned a lot, because some dorky tech guy’s not going to make a buck off of it. But, no matter what you hear, article writing is a good thing.
10) Just keep at it and trust your instincts. There are many people on the internet trying to squeeze money out of you, especially if it’s a subject that your unfamiliar with nso just trust your instincts. They will rarely steer you in the wrong direction.
Those are my top ten things that no one told me about having a website. Hopefully they can help you save some time, money, and heartache.

The Top Ten Things No One Told You About Having Your Own Website

3 Cardinal Ways to a Better SEO

Search engine optimization a known subset of the search engine marketing is a marketing method that most business people and marketers are using in order to make their sites gain popularity and recognition from search engines to obtain better ranking from them. Search engine optimization allows for your site whether a business or a personal site to obtain a potential better search engine results. It gives these sites more capabilities to be searched. If you are serious about having to undergo search engine optimization, to better the position of your site on the ranking, then you have to make sure that you strictly follow these guidelines.
a. Kill any substance and traces of irrelevant keywords on your site content. These irrelevant and non substantial keywords on your site content just push the keyword density to its limit even when these do not have bearing on the development of your site at all. It is suggested therefore, that you start replenishing your keywords on your site content with new and fresh keywords to substantiate the need.
b. Periodically, check and modify your site in terms of the design, color schemes, themes, and similar graphical illusion factors. This is a good move for your site in giving it a newer and fresher look. So what does all these changes mean to Search Engine? Well, it may not directly impact the search engine but when your potential clients are able to see good things, newer and more innovative this time, it puts certain charisma to your site to have it visited more often.
c. To gain both search engine and client’s approval, you need to combine the elements of good design and content of the site and relevant and precise keyword positioning on your whole site. With these things at hand, you basically an undefeated and incomparable site.

The Best Kept Secret To Online Success

The Best Kept Secret To Online Success
If you’re reading this article you’re obviously interested in online success. And I’m going to give you the best kept secret of online success that no one will tell you about. But before I get to the secret, if you’re interested in the quick and easy approach to online success, STOP right now. You’re never going to find it. There is nothing quick and easy about online success, so get that idea out of your head right now. Just stop and go spend your money on a fistful of lottery tickets… your chances of making money the quick and easy way will be greatly improved with lottery tickets.
There seems to be a common misconception out there that online success is as simple as building a website putting that website on the world wide web, and bingo your good to go. For the uninitiated, this is a complete fallacy. Simply slapping a decent looking website on the World Wide Web doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. That is of course unless you simply want a “billboard” sitting in the midst of infinity.
You see, making money online is exactly like making money in any other endeavor. It just seems (to the average person) like making money online is somehow different than making money anywhere else. This may be due to the fact that anyone and I do mean anyone, can have a live website up and working in a day or so. As I’ve alluded to though, just getting a website up and running has little or nothing to do with online success.
Online success is a process. That’s the secret! Contrary to what many of the so called “experts” say, there is no substitute for hard work when it comes to becoming an online success. Many of the “experts” out there make it seem as if becoming successful online, which more than likely Means making money, is as simple and easy as scratching your head. This simply isn’t true. The secret, that none of them want to tell you is that success online is a process.
You, as the person interested in having success online, are going to have to work your butt off. You, or someone that you hire, is literally going to have to go out and get traffic for your website, because if you don’t realize it, without traffic, there will be no online success. And getting traffic is a continual process. There, in a nutshell, is the key to online success. Yes, the key to online success that no one will tell you about is the fact that it’s a process! Online success isn’t something that happens with the snap of your fingers or that happens just because you think it should.

Should You Waste Your Money On SEO By Trevor Kugler

Should You Waste Your Money On SEO

Do you have a website? And when you got that website looking like you wanted it, and everything seemed to be good to go, what happened? If you’re situation is anything like mine, you then discovered, like someone quietly wrapping their hands around your throat and squeezing the life right out of you, that it didn’t matter much. You see, once everything was as we wanted it, we then realized that none of it mattered if no one visited our site.
So we asked our webmaster what he thought should be done? His suggestion was a search engine optimization service he was selling for fifty bucks a month. He said that if we did this, our website could be in the top 10 results on various search engines. This sounded wonderful, and we assumed it would bring a ton of visitors. In theory it would, however your website doesn’t end up in the top ten results! Actually we were in the top three results for terms that people would never search for, simply because the terms ar5e an unknown entity. Would you search for the term, ‘gang hook’? I think not, but we were number 1 on most search engines. I remember our webmaster actually saying to me once, “that’s a good term, you’re the first result.” The thing that I quickly realized about being in the top ten search results is the fact that it doesn’t matter if no one searches for that term!
At that point we were eight months intro our little internet venture and becoming more and more frustrated by the minute. I would think to myself, “Screw this, you’re not going to be able to make money on the internet. It’s a big scam!” And to be honest, I still think that much of the internet is a scam.
Then I discovered things like article writing websites like this one and things began to change. I could actually see results from writing articles on a site such as this and it didn’t cost anything but a little time. And there were real results, as apposed to some techie filling my head with utter gibberish!
I suppose the bottom line is that much of the stuff you read and hear on the internet is garbage, especially when you’re just starting out. I’ve found that the internet is exactly like everything else on this marvelous pebble we call earth. About ninety five percent of what you hear is junk and the rest is worthwhile. The internet is just like everything else; you’re going to have to invest some time and money to make it work for you. But beware; there are a lot of people trying to take advantage of those of us who don’t completely understand all of this ‘tech stuff’.

Should You Waste Your Money On SEO

SEO-What The Weasels Won’t Tell You By Trevor Kugler

SEO-What The Weasels Won’t Tell You
By Trevor Kugler

In my experience as a non- techie, there’s a ton of misinformation out there about search engine optimization and how it can help your website. The basics fact sound great: Pick out key words and phrases that people will type into search engines and then have your website show up in the top ten results on said search engine. That’s sound wonderful, right? Being in the top ten search results for given phrases would be great, the problem is that it’s not as simple and easy as paying someone fifty bucks a month to ’submit’ your site. Many companies make it seem as if you give them your ten search words or phrases, along with fifty bucks a month or more, and bam your wonderful website will be in the top ten results for those phrases. This is not true.
Unless of course your search phrases are so unique that no one would search for them anyway. For example, if you have a product that’s brand new to the marketplace and the phrase used to describe that product are unique. In that case your phrase will climb rank in the search engines, buy it’s because no one searches for it. If you’re trying with words and phrases that people search for such as ‘book deals’ for example, you won’t sniff the top ten search results. Not without spending a lot of time and money. No one tells you this though. Our webmaster simply wanted to make the fifty bucks a month, without explaining what we should actually do.
In order to optimize your website for search engines, you need to build it that way. The phrases you decide on need to be incorporated into the site and page titles. These are the types of things that no one explained to me about search engine optimization. I was just told things like, “pick some phrases that you think people will search for and we’ll submit those phrases to the search engines.” This, of course, accomplished nothing, other that us wasting money.
My point to this entire article is to tell you a few of the things that no one told me, in the hope that you won’t have to go through the same experience. There’s no easy fix to the search engine optimization puzzle and the bottom line is that it’s not simple and easy to get in the top ten search results for phrases that are worth a plugged nickel. It’s rather difficult as a matter of fact. I simply think that anyone who wants more traffic should be aware of this little fact. Do your due diligence, and don’t ever expect something for nothing. It’s simply a fallacy that you can spend fifty bucks a month and end up in the top ten search results. There’s a lot more involved in the mine field known as search engine optimization.

SEO-What The Weasels Won’t Tell You

Website in New Zealand Very sucessful with SEO

I’ve been working with a client in New Zealand for a year. The business is a home business, started about 5 years ago, I’ve written about it before.
The website when I started was getting about

30,000 page views a month
, August of 08, by September 09  that same website got just under
1,000,000, yes 1 million page views a month.

Now let me explain, page views are not the number visitors, it’s the number of pages visitors viewed over a month.I find this is a better way of seeing whats going on on many sites for the following reasons.

About 50%-60% of visitors leave a site, or bounce, without viewing more than one page, I won’t say how many visitors, but you can do the math, for a million pages looked at, the number of visitors are up there….that sort of result would put some very busy forums to shame.

That’s a very impressive growth in just one year…I can’t take all the credit though,

this owner did put a heck of a lot of work into the website.

Even moving a large homemade website onto a database website, increasing the number of pages from about 500 to over 1700 pages was all work this website owner did herself, with just a few emails from be explaining what to do.

I have other seo consultancy clients that don’t have anywhere near the success of this website, with consultancy, I can only suggest what needs doing, the rest is up to the website owner.
This website owner didn’t take on all my suggestions, but the ones she did take on, she made an outstanding difference to her website traffic… it just shows though, sometimes all that’s needed is a little direction, to make a online business a success…

Put It On The Internet You’ll Make $1,000,000

Put It On The Internet – You’ll Make $1,000,000

Have you ever been talking to friends when someone mentions their idea for this or that and someone blurts out the wonderful option of putting said product or service on the internet and then just sitting back and making a ton of money. Most everyone has experienced a situation similar to this right? Or at least thought about it? I think there’s a huge misconception out there that a person can just put a product or service on the internet and bam… make money.
Well, if you’ve done any research on this subject (that subject of course being making money on the internet) you realize that this isn’t at all the case. It isn’t as easy as just putting a product ‘out there’ and making money. I sure wish it was but unfortunately we live on the planet earth, and it doesn’t work that way. Think about it, once your site or product is ‘out there’ how are people going to find it? I’ve learned from experience that there’s not some internet fairy out there flying around making millions of people aware of whatever it is that you’re offering. I used to think this fairy was real, but now I realize that it’s not. There’s much more too it. Making money on the internet with whatever product or service you want to offer requires work.
The first thing that has to be done is for you to figure out how you are going to drive traffic to your website. There are many ways to drive traffic to your product or website, but very few are free. Most options will cost you money and what does the fact that people want money from you bring? The fact that people can make money off of this type of information brings a can of worms bigger than anyone could imagine. Not only does it bring a BIG can of worms, but the can has fallen over and there are worms everywhere!
It seems like everyone has the answer to driving traffic to your site and they would be more than happy to provide you with that answer for a price. My webmaster charged me fifty bucks a month for “search engine optimization” and all that was happening was my site being submitted to search engines! After six months of everything remaining exactly the same, except for me being three hundred bucks lighter, I told him to stop the madness. I told him there was no point in me paying for something that wasn’t helping my website or product. So be careful about all of the SEO stuff out there.
There are many ways of driving traffic to your website and some of them are actually free. Some of them would include: Article submission (a great one), free press releases (this one doesn’t seem too effective), a newsletter or e-zine (getting subscribers can lead to the same can of worms spoken of earlier), message boards, and others.
The bottom line is that a person can’t just ‘put it on the internet and make $1,000,000.’ Not without the effort that having anything worthwhile takes. With persistence and faith it can be done, it’s just not as simple and easy as many would have you believe.

Investing in Women and Lynny Brown SEO team up

Lynny Brown, owner of SEObyCanz and co-owner of CANZ Design is a self professed computer nerd and extremely knowledgeable SEO specialist.  Lynn has refined her skills as the industry has developed, always researching, constantly growing and adapting as the internet becomes more and more sophisticated.  There are many definitions of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), but the easiest way to describe the process in non-tech speak is to say she ‘makes websites findable in search engines’.
Lynny’s internet career has been a long progression of self taught skills based upon her fascination with the way websites and search engines work; beginning, as many of us do, with a homemade website that no one could find.  That was the beginning of her always evolving solution to solve the puzzle; how to make a site visible, have people find and use what was online and available.
History
A computer changed Lynny’s life. She was confined to a wheelchair and bedridden (a result of a broken back injury), when she got her first computer. Her first project was a locally marketed cook book made up of recipes from her own kitchen and contributions from a few friends.  Next: a personal web site which was the start of a lifetime passion.
2001 was a focal point for Lynny Brown; 3 things happened that would change her life.
She bought a digital camera, her life partner Kym, traveled from California to New Zealand (CA-NZ) and together they begin their first online business, which appropriately was called CANZ.
The first Canz (canz.biz) was a stock image bank they developed to market the thousands of photographs she and Kym took while traveling throughout New Zealand. Within a couple of years this small shoestring enterprise grew to become the second largest image bank in New Zealand offering upwards of 50,000 photographs and graphics from artist all over the world.  Lynn’s fascination with search engines grew as she began optimizing and marketing the website that now contained upwards of 50,000 pages.
During this period of time they begin building professional websites for other small businesses and the second Canz (CanzDesign.com) was off and running. Quickly the newly developed skills of web design and SEO techniques was divided between the two business women; the design handled by her partner while Lynny utilized all the knowledge skills she acquired in her specialty: Search Engine Optimization, marketing and strategy.
Soon there was a third Canz: SEObyCanz (SEObyCanz.com) a site developed to focus on the growing clientele that had use of Lynn’s specialty Search Engine Optimization for web sites.
In 2008 Lynny and her partner moved to the United States where she soon met a chiropractor who fixed her chronic back pain, enabling her to do many of the things she could do before her accident 17 years ago.  She built that chiropractor a website that is search engine friendly and optimized for the services her chiropractor offers.
While researching chiropractic websites and internet marketing for that specialty she became aware that many chiropractors where in need of SEO and internet marketing advice. Because of her interest in the field and the way chiropractic treatment has helped her personally she began focusing on SEO for chiropractic web sites.
Lynn Brown, herself a gay woman that operates a full time online business, has a keen interest in woman owned and operated businesses.  She has helped several women to get their websites ranking well in search engines and producing results that make money.
Investing in Women Offer
She is offering a special deal for members of ‘Investing in Women’ that have built own websites; women who have control and want to keep control of their websites.  Lynny is now offering women like this a SEO consultation service that includes a full website analysis and detailed instructions on what that owner can do to make their website rank better in search engines for less than half the price she normally charges for this service. This offer is only for women that are members of Investing in Women.
Instead of the usual $3500, she charges for consulting, women who own and run their own websites get this service for $500 deposit, and then 4 monthly payments of $250; a total of $1500, the balance which can be paid over 5 months.
Of course if someone wants a crash course they are welcome to pay the full amount. The skills you learn will be specific to your own website and should not be transferred to other sites, as often these techniques could be detrimental to another website it was not specifically designed for.  Good SEO is developed for one website as each site must be analyzed with appropriate methods applied to it.
There are three rules for this offer.

Online Business And Customer Service By Trevor Kugler

Online Business And Customer Service
By Trevor Kugler

Have you ever noticed that with many online businesses customer service seems to be at the bottom of their agenda? It almost seems as if people think they can slap a website on the internet, offer a product or two, and be done with it. Let me ask you a question. If this were true why wouldn’t everyone do it? The answer to that question is really quite simple. Because if you don’t provide excellent customer service, you won’t last long. I believe that online business and customer service should go hand in hand, and I think you should as well.
It perplexes me that most online businesses don’t seem to feel this way. Most online businesses seem to think of customer service as an after thought. This simply shouldn’t be the case. Just because the customer isn’t physically being spoken with, it doesn’t mean that you can’t develop a relationship. Taking care of the customer should be every businesses first priority, whether that business is an online business or traditional businesses.
How many of you have emailed a company asking them a question, only to receive a response days later or not at all. I know I emailed and affiliate of mine months ago, and still haven’t heard anything from them. Guess what this means? They are no longer an affiliate of mine, and I tell anyone who’s interested not to do business with them. My company is a small fish right now, in a very big pond, but to me it makes no difference. The principles are the same. Eventually, the company I’m referring to will fall by the wayside, because they aren’t truly interested in the customer.
Don’t you think dealing with a company who’s interested in taking care of you is a pleasure? If this company treats you well, aren’t you likely to tell other people about it? And aren’t you likely to use them in the future? Of course you are. It only makes sense. So always keep in mind that your online business and customer service go hand in hand. Care about your customer, no matter how small your business is, and you customer will carte about your business, it’s as simple as that.
