So does SEO really work,… really… well my seo services are the best, and proof is in the results.

to prove a point, the site below has several domain names, one domain name (URL) has the exact same onsite seo on… the old way of doing seo, but I didn’t do any off-site seo on, that domain has had only 2 sales in alltime.

Let me explain, The other domain names, are so well seo’ed off-site they show in google so highly, for many searches the first 4-6 results for relevant keywords are links to  these sites, There are a also quite a few searches where all 10 results on page 1 of google are all for this site.

the domain (url) name is showing in search results but not until the page 2 of google…

It certainly goes to show though, that SEO does in fact work. If the SEO is done correctly by me, it does work anyway.

The $15,000 (USD) investment made in my seo services in mid March 2010 for 3 global websites, was returned in profits before the past post in June 2010,

I stopped doing SEO on this site back in Mid July 2010. I did 4 months SEO in total.
I won’t need to do anymore SEO now unless he ad’s new products, and wants more work done.

Now a week away from Halloween, sales are doing well. there have been many more sales in the past 16  hours, the Americans have left buying costumes in the main part until last week, and so many in the past 17 hours…
there are 65 visitors on the site right now, and orders coming n every 2-4 minutes at the moment, and the site has had over 580 so far visitors today, and it’s only4.50 am in England, where the site is, and almost 9am in California,  since sales are at 1 week away from Halloween are 472, with sale until now yesterday, I increase my prediction to 692  from 600 sales  Oct …. I’ll let you know how close I am.

below are the sales up until the time I wrote the last post.

I’ve had 2 SEO clients ask me within 2 days, if there’s a way to un-optimized their website. They had no idea what a difference SEO could make, and are unprepared for the influx of new business.

Another client mentioned a few weeks back that her stocks were getting very low, and she had more sold gems on her site than ones for sale, I recently went and deleted over 250 products off her site, just to help her out, she has a slow internet connection in outback Australia…

Its an interesting problem, everyone that is looking for SEO is looking for more sales, more patients, more something from their websites, but I don’t think any of my clients have thought ahead.

What is the back-up plan when the SEO really REALLY works? Ok so they could maybe handle twice or even three times as many orders, as there are now.

But what happens when the order’s have become 20 or 30 fold order’s within 3 months, when trips to the post office to post orders off, used to be a couple times a week, and are now 3, 4 or 6 times a day.

What happens if the 3 emails you receive a week asking about your services, suddenly turns into 20 a day. What happens if say a doctor’s office is used for getting say 5 or 6 new patients a month from various advertising, and suddenly it’s up to 25 one month and 55 new patients the next month, there’s still all the original patients that need seeing too, people often need to see the doctor quickly…

Have you ever thought what would happen, or have any strategy’s worked out, if suddenly your business became super successful, or are you still struggling with getting your business to pay the rent or even hosting for your website… I’d suggest you spend a little free time working on a success plan, find out who has the best parcel pick-up and delivery service, work out how long it would take to hire and train new staff members, look at the price of a bigger premises, whatever your business would need if it became successful within 2 months, plan for success|!!!

Even looking at if you want to expand your business, do you want to be bother with staff, with renting premises, or if you just want to have you business as a paying hobby, or even just an income for your family, it would still pay to think ahead, and maybe when thinking about getting SEO tell your seo what you expect, maybe the cost of the seo could be reduced.

Personally I have never heard of anyone asking their SEO to cool it or stop, although i have done it myself for our own sites, when things got to busy, most people I’ve come across are happy with a minimal increase in sales of whatever type, but with the recession, and working out some excellent SEO techniques for myself, I have begun supercharging my clients websites, maybe I’ll have to tone it down a bit myself

There’s a belief system of some group or other, that what you think about will come into being, perhaps if you plan for success you won’t even need me as your SEO lol….

I have recently taken on yet another SEO job, from a business that was using an Indian SEO company.

The owner decided to change SEO, because he found a website that shows where the website visitors are coming to your website from, and 98% of visitors were from Indian IP addresses…. This is a business which operates strictly in California, Texas, and Florida, although they are looking at expanding to other States in the US, but never internationally.

This business has been having the Indian “SEO team” work on his business website for several months, they charge $250 a month…. The owner sent me the last monthly report of what they had done it was about 12 pages long and looked at a glance, to someone that didn’t understand what they were reading very impressive. very impressive indeed.

HOWEVER: I looked at it, and in fact what they had supposed to have done would only take about 30 minutes to do. Let me explain.

They had changed 1 links on 7 pages, to show as bold rather than normal text. In Dreamweaver, this would take about 5 minutes, with search and replace, so the 5 minutes includes opening the program and opening the pages, changes saving and closing the pages, lets give them the benefit of the doubt and think they has slow internet and slow computers. So opening 7 pages may take the while on an old computer.

They had added the phone number to the same 7 pages meta tags, since dreamweaver is now open, as are the pages they are working on, this would only take about 1 minute.

Added alt tags to 5 images on the same page, this has to be done manually, since the wording was different, but still with copy and paste, it would only take about 10 minutes max.

Validated 4 webpages. And fixed errors, that they had made in the first place, since they built the site, I won’t even quote a time on that, because you can’t charge clients to fix mistakes you made…. well I don’t

Submitted 2 blogs to 2 blog search engines…. 5 minutes… if you are any kind of SEO you would already have the links to the submit page.

Submitted site to 30 social bookmarking sites, 10 of these sites were not written in English, so of little use. This would cost me $5 to have done.

They had 40 directory submissions done, this job a sub-contract and would cost me less than $6

Link Exchange 39 link exchanges… this is an interesting one, because I checked this site for broken links, and many of these “Link Exchanges” had broken links to them, done purposely, and

1. If you actually looked at the domain names, 25 were the same as the directory submissions above
2. a few the site didn’t even exist, something you wouldn’t notice if you didn’t check.
3. many of these places were just directory type places, and had no real website so they weren’t real link exchanges which takes a lot of time to do. so again
4. many of the real sites were again non-English sites.

Since these changes had no real value. Adding the broken links to this sites pages 15 minutes at most

really interested now, I then went on and checked the pages for the “work done”, none of the pages, and none of the work done was yet in the search engines,

So thats 30 minutes, and $11 work, now writing the report, THAT would have taken a good 2 to 3 hours to collate all the information, and get it looking good, and read 12 pages long, in a pdf…. but still the business was paying $250 a month, for 30 minutes, and $11 work

My dilemma is, should I tell the client that they have been ripped off. So what is gained by telling a client this sort of news. The client get’s upset, hell I would be, I’d be furious, so nothing gained there,

So whats in it for me if I tell client, will the client think any more of me for upsetting them?
I think not, of so will they trust me anymore, I don’t see why, it’s not good getting bad news about someone you have had a good or even an ok relationship with.

Will they pay me anymore… doubtful, why would you pay someone more for telling you you have been ripped off … so there’s nothing to gain, and really possibly a lot to lose, as the client may become distrustful of all seo’s… and hey that’s what I do, if this client was to talk about the ripoff, other people may become distrustful of SEO’s and one of them may be a future client.

I’m charging an extra $100 a month, so $350 total, and have already spent 18 hours working on the SEO for their site, 16 hours fixing broken links, and missing images, and other errors left by the previous SEO.

When I do seo on a regular monthly bases for a business, I find the best way to do the work is as soon that months payment clears, I do the work for the month, that way the SEO Services I provide, are working for the website in the search engines well before the next month payment is due, I also tend to do more SEO at the start of the contract, giving the site the best chance possible, I often do far more work than I’m paid for, and often end up getting burned, as a client then expects that to carry on.

Gosh I would give poor Mr. Google a nervous breakdown, if I carried on like a bull out of a gate. And in actual fact, you lose gains made if you start changing things you have already changed. before google has spidered it and ranked, if you don’t wait to see the results, and let the results settle down.

They say “We learn by our mistakes” I guess, although I don’t seem to. I can’t stand to see a site not reaching it’s potential. Or at least make enough changes initially get things moving in the right direction, but I need to pace myself, and just do what I’m paid for, and then when a clients see’s the results in a few months time, they can choose to increase that steady monthly payment.

1. How long have you used the service? Since August 2008

2. What is your average monthly site traffic. My traffic has really increased over the past few months, and I’m getting just under 10,000 unique visitors a month. Before any of the SEO work started, I was getting about 6,000 visitors per month.

3. What is your average monthly amount of only inquiries? Very few of “only inquiries”. Most of the people that visit my site purchase products from me directly on the website – they don’t do an enquiry first.
The first point of contact I get from people is the sale. This is better for me, as it means that less time is taken up answering enquiries and emails. As of January 2009, I am getting about 3 times increase in sales per week compared to before the SEO started.

4. In what search engines do you rank well and what are some of your page ranks in the SE’s? well in the google search engine which everyone uses, my products come up in first or second position. This is true for the majority of the products that I sell, and the keywords that we have been targeting. The site also shows up in other search engines of course too. I have stopped using the Google Adwords campaign now, as that was getting redundant because my pages are showing at the top I don’t need to pay for the adwords at the side of the page.

Before we started the SEO work, my page rank was 1. I have had my site for four years, and it was only page rank 1. Canzdesign just emailed me last week with the good news that the Page Rank is now 4, and many of the internal pages within my website also have their own page rank.

5. Do you know of other companies that have successfully used her services? No I don’t know of them personally, but I have seen some of the work they have done.

6. What else can you tell me about Canzdesigns that would be helpful? I was initially very cautious about starting any SEO work, I was hesitant about doing something that I did not really understand.

The help and support I have received from Canzdesigns has been astounding, and I am already seeing a huge improvement in my sales revenue, and of course page rank etc. To me, the sales revenue is the main thing that I needed to increase, and that has already happened. Let me first explain, I didn’t do any seo work for this client, I was her SEO consultant and explain her website statistics to her each month.

I can’t take all the credit for how the owner’ Breastfeeding Products Online Store how her Site is Ranking in Search Engines, well I can…. but also the work that she has put into her site is a real credit to her as she said she was already getting 6000 unique (visitors to the site that haven’t been there before) so 6000 unique visitors before I started.
Her total number of visitors is of course much higher again, but that’s because she offers a great service and her clients are coming back.

I have made suggestion for all sorts of changes to her website, and the next day, she has made the changes and asking about what else she could do. She had already started a Breastfeeding Blog and only made a few posts, once I explained the best way to use a blog, she went ahead and has made 230 posts in her blog in 4 months, which are resulting in over 1200 visitors going to her website after reading her blog posts.

I just did a check yesterday, 2864 different keywords and keyphrases have been used to find her website in search engines so far this month, that’s a lot of different ways people have searched for her breastfeeding products.

Looking at the top 200 keywords people used to find her website, only 16 keywords didn’t rank on the 1st page of google search results, 150 of those 200 keywords were all in the top 5 positions in Google search results, and just over 100 where number #1 on Page 1 of google.

I know what I have said is a bit geeky, but basically Frances Online Breastfeeding Products Store was doing pretty well in search engines before I started being her SEO consultant, so although she’s only getting an extra 4000 visitors to her website, she’s getting more sales than she was, and making international sales were one of the major objectives when she requested my SEO services re: SEO Consultancy.

I arrived in San Diego on the 15th, got married on the 17th, finished one seo job, and scored 2 new SEO jobs right here in San Diego on the 22nd and 24th of September. So I’m up to 9 out of my 10 clients.

Have been busy getting used to a whole new country, I’m fascinated by the black people here. I’ve touched 3 different peoples skin, and it’s so soft, nothing like what I’ve always though that it would have been tough skin.

I thought you maybe interested in a service I offer to website owners.

Instead of investing in a lot of SEO work at once which could be an investment of $2000 or more, depending on the size of the website, and the work that needs doing, I have quite a few clients who own small websites, who invest a small amount each month and I make small changes to their website, and do SEO at a slower pace. This ongoing work means their websites stay ranking highly in search engines.

This system helps first the client but also me, clients find it much easy to set aside a regular monthly amount and on my part it’s good to know there is a regular income happening each month. I of course have regular clients who have had SEO work done, and I tweak their sites each month but this system is different.

For people who maybe aren’t sure if seo will help, or that just can’t invest in a lot of seo work at this time this system works well.

I have mentioned before that I have a goal of earning a regular income of $2000 USD a month, this doesn’t of course count the one off jobs I do, although they amount to much more than this, I also want that regular income, so if there’s a slow month, like January is, I know I have work to carry on until the next big job comes in. I often find that these regular clients get extra work done between the big jobs.

How much does SEO cost?

This is a really hard question to answer, it’s a bit like asking how much a car costs, it just depends, one of the first considerations is how big is the site, what is it selling.

And one of the first questions I reply to this “how much” question with, is what is your budget? Then I ask how many visitors they would like to their website each month.

When I client tells me how much their budget is, and how many clients they are wanting to their website each I can give them a few options.

For a low budget generally speaking though, often $500 plus $1 per each visitor per month is a good way of working it out. This works at the lower end of the scale anyway, so if a client is looking only looking at another 1000 visitors a month, then often $1500 will be a good starting point one of the SEO clients I have has paid $2500 on SEO over 2 years and is getting an extra 7000 visitors per month, so this simple sum doesn’t always work. Once you start looking at 10’s of thousands of new visitors a month, the budget per visitors drops dramatically, getting visitors to a website initially is the hardest task, getting more visitors in general isn’t that time consuming.

I have an SEO client that I’ve just started talking about SEO on her website, she has a budget of $30,000 over the next year, and if wanting to increase her website visitors to 250,000 per month. The client has an global art gallery online, so generating plenty of visitors should be easy enough. A lot of time will be spent link building, and building the pagerank of a lot of the internal pages, I have 4 clients with artist websites. I only do minimal work for them, but have always found linkbuilding easy for these site.

I was recently reading a blog for an SEO Who always quoted $50,000 then $5000 per page for SEO work, looking at what he did when doing SEO on a website, the sites he did seo for, they were doing ok, but nothing that special, they were ranking between 7th and 9th on page #1 of google, so paying more for SEO, doesn’t mean you will get better results, if just means your SEO doesn’t work with people on smaller budgets, personally I would perfer have my site ranking higher for more phrases, than to be able to say, I spent $70.000 on SEO, I guess though that there is a certain amount of snob value in saying that huh.

My defination of a good client,

that pays when they say they will.
Pay without needing to be reminded. Every week… every month…. yearly, I don’t mind sending out one reminder…..
that pays when they say they will.
Leave the graphic design up to me… I am the graphic designer after all….
that pays when they say they will.
Actually read emails I send…. and promptly agree with my idea’s,
that pays when they say they will.
Can make up their mind quickly
that pays when they say they will.
Answer emails the same day
that pays when they say they will.

Arghhhh the list goes on and on…..
